Marshfield, June 13, 2022—Marshfield Area United Way is celebrating the beginning of summer by hosting two events next week. First, volunteers are needed to participate in the Summer Trash Bash Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. This event is partnered with Main Street Marshfield. Second, Children's Book Swap will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Celebrate the first week of summer with Marshfield Area United Way and attend these events.
The Summer Trash Bash is a great event to help beautify the streets of Marshfield and give back to the city we call home. This event is a great volunteer opportunity for friends, family, coworkers, or groups. The second event, Children’s Book Swap, has hundreds of books for your child to choose from to keep reading fun and exciting this summer. Have some older books your kids don't read any more? Bring them with and swap them out for "new" ones.
Summer Trash Bash Volunteers will gather at Hardacre Park at 2 p.m.to receive a map, garbage bag and gloves. Volunteers will then walk to their street assignment. A light snack and water will be provided.
Children’s Book Swap attendees can meet in the Grant Elementary School, 425 W Upham Street, in the parking lot anytime from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to pick out some picks or drop them off.
