Sarah is the Resource & Development Director at Marshfield Area United Way. Her first experience with the organization was in 2017 on her second day living in Marshfield, when she accepted an invitation to volunteer for a Nutrition On Weekends packing. She said, “It was an incredible way to begin my life in Marshfield. I saw not only how generous this community is but how everyone prioritizes taking care of one another. I knew immediately that Marshfield was a special place.”
Hired in July of 2021, she has been in her current role since September 2023. Sarah holds a degree in Art History from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Before joining United Way, she primarily stayed home to raise her two children, but she also worked in retail, taught knitting, and spent time in bookkeeping and accounting roles.
Sarah enjoys traveling and having adventures with her husband and two children. She suffers from boundless curiosity and is a passionate learner – from native plants to languages to birdwatching to fine arts and everything in between. When not immersing herself in her latest interests, in her free time she can often be found working in her garden, reading, or knitting, and she is rarely far from her two dogs.
